Ralph Nader used the night of the election of the first black president as an occasion to warn him not to be "an Uncle Tom." Watch the video:
Nader's deliberately offensive statement, the sort one expects from an Ann Coulter or Rush Limbaugh, deserves to be condemned. As the video makes clear, even Fox News has higher standards than him ... sometimes.

I don't know why Nader was stupid and insensitive enough to make that Uncle Tom comment. I hear that left-wing writer Alex Cockburn did the same. But I also don't know why he was stupid enough to make that comment on Fox News. I suppose he appeared on that station because he wants whatever exposure he can get. But he had to know that the anchors at Fox were going to milk any gaff of his for all it's worth. They are not friendly to him, so he should have been very, very careful. Which leaves one question: What has Nader been smoking?!
