Egyptian convicted of spying for Israel, dies in jail

The engineer who came forward to reveal that he had given publicly available documents relating to Egyptian defense to Israeli agents -- this poor fellow who was subsequently prosecuted for espionage and acquitted by an Egyptian court, then retried (this time by a military court) and sentenced to 15 years in prison with hard labor -- this poor soul has mysteriously died in prison. News of his death, which had been kept secret, was revealed by a leak to the media. Prison doctors, when asked for his cause of death, stated that he died of "heart failure".
