A story to the effect that Hugo Chavez said that a US weapon test caused the Haiti earthquake was apparently disinformation. There are indications that this story was fabricated by a Spanish television network. I apologize to readers of this blog for reporting this as true.

Maybe this is small comfort, or wishful thinking, but when the video showed the audience applauding, I thought that the expressions on their faces told another story.
There didn't seem to be any enthusiasm. In fact, it seemed that these people were feeling disgust or boredom or both.
